Club History
Central Lakes Lacrosse was started in the summer of 2020 to give some seniors in the Big Lake/Becker/Monticello/STMA area an opportunity to play one more time before heading off to college.
Going into our first tournament in Kansas City, we had players from 8th grade through graduated seniors, many of whom were meeting for the first time during Game 1 warmups. But they bonded over "Chipmunk Yoga" between games.

Despite the mismatched uniforms and pressed-on numbers that were falling off, that first team finished in second place in that first tournament.
CLL continued to provide "on demand" tournament options, going to the 2020 Blue Ox tournament in the Wisconsin Dells, and then Blue Ox again in 2021 (Farmington, MN) and the Champions of Summer tournament in Blaine. In the fall of 2021, Central Lakes facilitated HS girls from Big Lake and Princeton high schools for a fall league. These girls (and the boys for both schools) would eventually combine to form a co-op program for the Spring 2021 MSHSL season.

We are happy for the start that we have had, and look forward to providing the lacrosse families of Minnesota family-friendly club options for their players in the years to come.
